The Story of a Mother Searching for Her Child in the 'Elephants in the Fog' Trailer
Kathmandu. The trailer for the film 'Elephants in the Fog' has been released. The trailer for the movie, which has been selected for the prestigious Un Certain Regard category at the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival, is now public.
The trailer attempts to clarify the story of the cinema. Written and directed by Abinash Bikram Shah, the trailer depicts stories of wild elephant terror, a missing child, and victimized villagers reaching out for police assistance. The trailer showcases a mother's efforts to find her child and the obstacles she encounters.
The production team stated that 'Elephants in the Fog' presents the story of a family representing a minority community living in a settlement plagued by the terror of wild elephants.
The film stars Pushpa Thing, Deepika Yadav, Jasmine Bishwokarma, Alize Ghimire, Joel Gurung, and Umesh Pandey in lead roles. It also features performances by Gauri Malla, Maotse Gurung, Shanti Giri, Sanjay Gupta Dura, Mahima Navabagh, Aashant Sharma, Anil Kurmi, and Akanksha Karki.
The producers include Kumudini Gurung Shrestha, Soham Dhakal, and Prachanda Man Shrestha from Jayanti Creation. Anup Poudel is the producer from Underground Talkies Nepal, while international producers include Justine Pechberty and Damien Megherbi from France, Michael Henrichs and Paul Zischler from Germany, Tatiana Leite and Leonardo Mecchi from Brazil, and Verona Meier Storm from Norway.
Filmmakers Min Bham and Prabesh Gurung, actress Keki Adhikari, Pratik Subedi, Pratibha Joshi, Santosh Bhattarai, Aditya Basnet, and Anoj Poudyal have also contributed as producers to the film.
Abinash, who previously won an award at Cannes for his short film 'Lori,' is also the screenwriter for 'Kalo Pothi,' 'Shambhala,' and the limited series 'Singha Durbar.'
