Rautahat Sees High Enthusiasm Among Youth to Become Election Police
Rautahat: Ahead of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, there has been significant enthusiasm among the youth in Rautahat to serve as election police. The District Police Office, Rautahat, stated that nearly twice the required number of applications have been submitted.
According to Bishnu Pradeep Basyal, Information Officer and DSP at the District Police Office, a total of 6,284 people applied from Poush 25 to Magh 1, including 936 women and 5,348 men.
For election security in Rautahat, 3,951 temporary police personnel are required, for which a prior call for applications had been made.
Application collection was arranged at the District Police Office in Gaur, the Area Police Offices in Garuda, Chandranigahapur, and Lakshminiya Bijaypur.
Eligible applicants are Nepali citizens aged between 18 and 54, able to read and write, and without any criminal records.
According to the recruitment schedule, applicants are to contact the police office on Magh 4, selection procedures will take place from Magh 5 to 9, and the final results will be published on Magh 12.
Temporary police personnel are expected to play a vital role in ensuring the elections are fair and secure.
