4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Sankhuwasabha
Kathmandu – A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck on Sunday with its epicenter in Sankhuwasabha district. According to the National Earthquake Measurement Center, the quake occurred at 7:31 AM, with its epicenter near Ritak in Sankhuwasabha.
The tremor was mildly felt in surrounding areas; however, no reports of damage have been received so far, the center stated.
Local authorities and security agencies have urged residents to remain alert, pay special attention to old and vulnerable buildings, and move to open spaces if necessary to ensure their safety.
