Young Entrepreneur Duwal’s Experience: ‘Brand Value is the Core Strength of Business’
Kathmandu – Young entrepreneur and engineer Krishna Bhakta Duwal has shared his insights on the importance of building brand value, drawn from 15 years of study and business experience. “With the right branding, you not only increase the price of your product but also gain trust and recognition in the market,” he said.
Duwal’s family business was in brick production. His brothers run the “Changunarayan CN Brick Factory,” which, thanks to strong branding, has managed to sell bricks for NPR 23 per piece in Bhaktapur, where the general market price is only NPR 10.
Currently pursuing his PhD at Wuhan University in China, Duwal stepped away from traditional brick manufacturing to focus on producing alternative construction materials. He was the first to start eco panel production in Nepal—modern construction panels used for both interior and exterior partition walls in permanent and temporary structures.
Previously, eco panels were imported from countries such as India and China. Duwal explained, “Seeing the destruction of soil and the pollution from smoke and dust in brick kilns inspired me to search for alternatives. The result was Nepal Eco Panel.”
Under his leadership, eco panel production has now spread across the country through various companies. By embracing the importance of branding, both Duwal and “Nepal Eco Panel” have become well-recognized names nationwide.
