Record-breaking Dr. DR Upadhyaya Conferred with Ninth Honorary Doctorate

Kathmandu.World record-holding lyricist and novelist Dr. DR Upadhyaya has been conferred with an honorary doctorate. The IIHSR University of Europe awarded him the degree during a special ceremony held in Lucknow, India. The university presented the honorary doctorate to Dr. Upadhyaya in Literature (D.Litt). University representative James Carey and other distinguished guests presented the honorary degree to Dr. Upadhyaya.

Dr. Upadhyaya, who completed his PhD in Sociology in 2000, has previously been honored with honorary doctorates by eight different universities. This is his ninth honorary doctorate. Previously, eight universities, including those from the United States, have presented him with honorary doctorate certificates.

According to the organizers, the doctorate certificate was awarded in recognition of Dr. Upadhyaya's contributions to music and literature. Other distinguished personalities were also presented with honorary doctorate certificates during the ceremony. Dr. Upadhyaya has set 153 world records in music and various other fields.

Similarly, he has published more than a dozen novels, three songbooks, and 36 music albums. Upadhyaya, who has released around 250 songs, also has hundreds of music videos available. His latest novel is titled 'Ashakti'.
