Senior Literary Figure Dr. Rajendra Bimal Passes Away at 79

Janakpur. Senior literary figure Dr. Rajendra Bimal has passed away.

Family members informed that he died at the age of 79 on Tuesday morning at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham. He was taken to the hospital on Monday night after suddenly developing health complications.

His funeral will be held today at 3:00 PM at Swargadwari in Janakpurdham. With Bimal's passing, a long and active literary journey in Nepali and Maithili literature has come to an end.

He had a distinct identity as a writer who established the social, cultural, and political life of Janakpurdham and Mithila in Nepali narrative literature.

The late Rajendra Bimal was the elder brother of the Province Head of Madhesh Province, Dr. Surendra Labh.
