"The News of the Agitation Being Postponed is False, Do Not be Misled": Durga Prasai

Kathmandu. Social activist Durga Prasai has appealed to the general public not to be misled, stating that the news of his agitation being postponed is 'concocted' (fictitious).

Through his Facebook post, he has claimed that some online news portals are trying to spread confusion by mentioning the controversial medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai and stating that the agitation has been postponed. He clarified that those news reports are 'completely concocted' (fictitious).

Prasai informed that on Kartik 9, he only discussed with the CDOs (Chief District Officers) and representatives of the security agencies of all three districts at the Kathmandu District Administration Office about not conducting the agitation on Kartik 16.

He stated that the farmers are currently in the time of harvesting rice (paddy) and are thus waiting for some time. Prasai has also earnestly appealed to the Gen Z youth and all Nepalis who love the country to join and show solidarity in the 'decisive movement for system change' that they will now call for.

He requested the concerned parties not to spread confusion, and also accused some media outlets of having misled the public and brought the country to this state.
