Dhungana: Preparing for a Major Peaceful Power Demonstration
Kathmandu – ZEN Z movement leader Miraj Dhungana has stated that their demand for a directly elected Prime Minister remains strong and has not been forgotten. He said, “Our demand is for a directly elected Prime Minister, and this demand still stands.”
Dhungana acknowledged that many people fear a Prime Minister elected under this system could become autocratic. However, he said that their team has studied systems from other countries, ensured a balanced distribution of power, and created a structure that prevents the Prime Minister from becoming autocratic.
He added, “We have designed a system where power is balanced and no one can hold absolute authority. We will release another video explaining this in detail.”
He also emphasized that they are not weak and are preparing for a large peaceful power demonstration. “Our movement has not stopped. Many people are connected with us. In the coming days, there will be a major peaceful demonstration with thousands of supporters,” Dhungana said.
According to him, this is a historic opportunity for nation-building, and they are determined not to let it fail. “We will not let this chance slip away, and we are even ready to sacrifice our lives if needed,” he added.
Dhungana stated that his main purpose in life is to establish a directly elected Prime Minister system in Nepal. “This is not just my voice, but the voice of many people and our team,” he said.
