Devi Hamal’s New Teej Song "Kina Aauchha Paapi Teej" Released
Kathmandu — On the occasion of the grand women’s festival Teej, singer Devi Hamal has released her latest Teej song titled “Kina Aauchha Paapi Teej” (Why Does the Sinful Teej Return?). Known as the first woman to run a Dohori Sanjh (folk duet venue) in Nepal, Hamal has penned the lyrics, composed the music, and lent her voice to the song, alongside singer Mina Risal.
With over two decades of dedication to the Nepali music industry, Hamal remains highly active in recent years as well. The music video, presented by Laxman Adhikari, is directed by singer and journalist Suman Kumar Shrestha.
The video features a powerful performance by popular model Sanchita Shahi Thakuri, whose on-screen relationship with Manoj Bishwakarma has become a major talking point. Other cast members include Chakra Bahadur Hamal Thakuri, Taradevi Thakuri, Laxmi KC, Ranu Khad, and members of the Chetansheel Women Development Group, all contributing through acting and dance.
Cinematography is done by Keshab Adhikari Khatri (DOP), with Jayendra Kunwar as assistant cameraman. The video is edited by Prem Sharma Poudel, and makeup is by Suman Dharane.
Filmed in Tarkeshwor and other scenic locations in Kathmandu, the music video has been released via the Devi Hamal Official YouTube channel. Singer Devi Hamal has urged everyone to watch, like, share, comment, and subscribe to support the project.
