Deuba Couple Returns Publicly 34 Days After Attack in Zen Z Movement
Kathmandu — Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arju Rana, who were injured in an assault by protesters during the Zen Z movement, have made their first public appearance after 34 days.
The couple attended today’s Nepali Congress Central Committee meeting held in Sanepa, greeting party members and leaders.
Deuba and his wife had been recovering from injuries sustained during the violent incident, and today marked their official return to public and political activities.
Deuba had previously stated that, unlike some top leaders of other parties, he would not cling to the presidential position despite the attack.
