Dense Fog Disrupts Life in Rautahat

Rautahat: In the Chandranigahpur sector of Rautahat and most other parts of the district, daily life has become difficult due to the thick fog that settled early this morning.

The fog has reduced visibility, forcing vehicles on the East-West Highway to drive slowly with their headlights on. Due to the increased risk of accidents caused by the dense fog and mist, the traffic police have urged drivers to exercise extra caution.

Traffic Inspector Rajendra Thapa Magar of the District Traffic Police Office, Rautahat, advised that during foggy conditions, the road ahead is not clearly visible, so vehicles must move at very low speeds.

He suggested using fog lights and headlights, maintaining safe distance between vehicles, applying reflective stickers, and ensuring the use of indicators and side lights.

The traffic police have urged all drivers to adopt speed control, proper use of lights, and other safety measures, especially during the morning and evening hours in winter.

The impact of the cold wave and fog is not limited to Chandranigahpur; other areas of the district are also affected.

The cold has disrupted markets, educational institutions, and government offices, while ordinary people are seen warming themselves by fires at intersections.

This weather change has particularly affected the elderly, children, and daily wage laborers.
