Dayahang and Prakash to Share Screen for the First Time; ‘Mirmire’ to Release on Magh 1

Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film ‘Mirmire’, directed by Yam Sherpa, is set to hit theatres on Magh 1. The release date was announced on the occasion of actress Sirjana Ninglekhu’s birthday.
Currently, the film is being shot in Chitlang, Makwanpur, with most of its scenes already filmed in Kavrepalanchok. According to the production team, the shoot, which began on Asar 21, is expected to be completed within two weeks.
The film features Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, and Sirjana Ninglekhu in lead roles, alongside Mao Tse Gurung, Chhulthim Gurung, and Bhola Raj Sapkota. Child actors Shaisa Gauchan, Divisha Pant, Chirag Shrestha, and Namanraj Gajurel are also part of the cast.
This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Dayahang Rai and Prakash Saput, while director Yam Sherpa has previously worked with Dayahang in his debut film ‘Karsang’. Sherpa has also written the story of Mirmire.
The film is presented under the Yarsa Films banner and is produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchiring Sherpa. Co-producers include Govinda Bohora and Sudip Kunwar, while Rohit Kattel, also a distributor and the head of RR Films, serves as the executive producer.
Alok Shukla is the cinematographer, with Birendra Shahi as line producer, Sudip Kunwar as chief assistant director, Sanju Thalang Limbu handling makeup, and Dilip Pant as production controller.
Nationwide distribution rights of Mirmire have been secured by RR Films, managed by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.
