Curfew Order Issued in Bara Following Protests and Clashes Near Simara Airport
Bara, Kalaiya. The District Administration Office, Bara, has immediately issued a curfew order to prevent the further deterioration of the situation following protests by Zen-Z youths and clashes involving political party-affiliated groups near the Simara Airport area.
Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra issued the order under Sections 6 (a) and (b) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, effective from 12:30 PM this afternoon (November 18, 2025) until 8:00 PM this evening.
Areas where the curfew is enforced:
- Gundak Canal to Pathalaiya road section (500 meters on either side of the highway).
- 500 meters surrounding Simara Airport.
During this period, any kind of movement, assembly, rally, demonstration, meeting, or encirclement is prohibited in the specified areas.
Facilitation for Essential Services: The notice mentions that security personnel will facilitate the movement of essential service vehicles, including ambulances, fire engines, hearse vans, vehicles of health workers, media personnel, tourist vehicles, human rights and diplomatic mission vehicles, and air passengers based on their air tickets.
