Bishal Bhandari Launches Second Season of ‘Comedy Night with Champions’

The popular comedy television reality show ‘Comedy Night with Champions’ has launched its second season following the success of the first. The production team formally announced the start of the second season by continuing the currently airing 54th episode as Chapter 2.

Director and host Bishal Bhandari informed that the show is being continued without a break, keeping in view the high demand from viewers and the need for continuous entertainment. According to him, the second season has been initiated as a continuation of the first.

"We have brought the second season as a continuation of the first. We declared the 54th episode itself as Chapter 2," Director Bhandari said. "We continued the broadcast of the second season with the aim of providing continuous entertainment as per the audience's demand."

In the first episode of Chapter 2, the production team and cast of the movie ‘Malati Mangale’, which is set to be released on April 25, appeared as special guests. The program featured the presence of Barsha Raut, Bijay Baral, Maxam Gaudel, film producer and singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, director Praku Pandey, executive producer Sagar Gyawali, and singer Ritika Shrestha.

Seasoned comedians Pawan Bhattarai, Prabhat Lama, Karma Singh Lama, Bharat Mani Poudel, Kailash Karki, and Suman Koirala performed on the show. The episode broadcast last Tuesday has been receiving a good response from the audience. When the ‘Malati Mangale’ team appeared as guests, Pawan Bhattarai performed as the character 'BK' from the movie ‘Kabaddi’ right in front of actor Bijay Baral, which made Baral himself laugh heartily.

The 'Sudan-Sushila' duo performed by Prabhat Lama and Karma Lama is also going viral on social media. Similarly, the performances of Bharat Mani and Suman Koirala served as highlights of the show. They humorously roasted their own friend Maxam Gaudel, who was seated on the sofa as a guest.

The show, which concluded with a performance by Kailash Karki in the role of a drunkard character, saw bursts of laughter among the audience. Additionally, Suman Karki, Sajan Shrestha, and Maxam Gaudel will also perform in other episodes. This time, Santosh Thapa has left the artist team.

In Thapa's place, Karma Lama will now perform regularly. Previously, he was only seen in small side roles. After gaining popularity through characters like Sudan-Sushila and Chakre-Milan, Bishal signed Karma Lama as a regular performer.

Nishchal Aryal and Pratik Adhikari, along with Karma, are involved in writing the script for the show. Changes have also been made to the set design. The old set has been made more attractive with new paint and floral decorations. Produced by Three Production, Deepa Shree Niraula serves as the permanent guest/chairperson of the show.

The program airs every Tuesday at 9 PM on Himalaya TV and is also released via the OSR Reality YouTube channel.
