‘Comedy Darbar’ Team Announces First Film ‘Ka Ka Ki Ki’, Shooting to Begin After Dashain

The popular Nepali television comedy show ‘Comedy Darbar’ team is stepping into the world of cinema with the announcement of their debut film ‘Ka Ka Ki Ki’. On Monday, the production team officially unveiled the film’s theme poster and announced its launch.

According to the poster, the film will feature renowned Nepali actors including Gauri Malla, Tripti Nadkar, Rekha Thapa, and Mahesh Tripathi in lead roles. In addition, popular social media personalities like Miss Pabi, Pawan Khatiwada, Himesh Pant, Sujata Shrestha, Bishwas Timilsina, and CD Vijay Adhikari will also appear in significant roles.

Judging by the expressions on the poster, the film’s title, and the comedy background of the team, ‘Ka Ka Ki Ki’ is set to be a full-fledged comedy movie.

The film will be co-directed by Vicky Agrawal and Shraddha Prasai. It is being produced by Shraddha Prasai and Sumitra Thapa, with the script written by Vicky Agrawal. The story has been jointly penned by Agrawal, Bikash Aryal, and Saroj Bhandari. Sudip Baral will serve as the director of photography (DOP), and the theme poster has been designed by Royal Bhimsen.

The film’s distribution in Nepal will be handled by Shree Venkatesh, while international distribution will be managed by Seven Seas, and OSR Digital has acquired the digital rights.

This marks the first cinematic project for director Agrawal and his team, who are currently running the highly popular ‘Comedy Darbar’ television show.

According to director Agrawal, the shooting of the film will commence the day after the Dashain Tika festival. However, the budget and official release date of the film have not been disclosed yet.

Speaking at the announcement event, director Agrawal said, “I feel honored to begin my film career by working with such senior artists. We believe our journey with ‘Ka Ka Ki Ki’ will receive the same love and support from the audience as our TV show. Our goal is to bring laughter not just on television, but now in the theaters as well.”

The team is confident that ‘Ka Ka Ki Ki’ will carry their signature humor from the small screen to the big screen.
