Cold Wave Hits Mustang: River Water Freezes at Minus 20°C
Mustang – With temperatures dropping further, several areas in Mustang are experiencing freezing water bodies.
In particular, in Upper Mustang’s Lomanthang, river water has turned to ice as temperatures fall to minus 20 degrees Celsius during mornings and evenings.
Locals report that the extreme winter cold has started freezing rivers, irrigation canals, and streams, affecting daily life. Farmers and residents are facing difficulties in managing their fields and routine activities.
