China Congratulates Nepal’s Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki
Kathmandu, September 14 : China has extended heartfelt congratulations on the appointment of Susheela Karki as Nepal’s interim Prime Minister. It also expressed a commitment to cooperate in further strengthening bilateral relations.
The congratulations were conveyed in response to a journalist’s question to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Prime Minister Karki taking the oath on Friday as Nepal’s interim Prime Minister.
Highlighting the long-standing friendly relations between China and Nepal, the Ministry’s spokesperson said that, as always, China respects the path of development freely chosen by the Nepali people, according to the Chinese Embassy here.
“We are ready to work with Nepal to promote the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and further advance bilateral relations,” the embassy statement said.
