Car Falls into Sunkoshi River After Being Struck by Bus in Fikkal, Sindhuli; Four Missing
Ramechhap — A passenger bus rammed into a parked car around 10:30 AM today at Nawalpur in Fikkal Rural Municipality–2, Sindhuli, causing the car to plunge into the Sunkoshi River.
According to local residents, four people were inside the car at the time of the accident. As of the time of filing this report, neither the car nor its passengers have been rescued.
The driver of the submerged car, Til Kumar Lama, is reported to be a contractor associated with the Mid-Hill Highway Construction Project.
The accident site is located near Nawalpur Ghat, close to the border of Ramechhap, Sindhuli, and Okhaldhunga districts. Sindhuli Police stated that detailed information regarding the incident is still awaited. Police and rescue teams have been deployed to the site, and search and rescue operations are currently underway.
