Bus Accident in Dhading: Death Toll Reaches 19
Kathmandu. The death toll from the accident on the Prithvi Highway at Bhaisigauda, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5 in Dhading, has reached 19. Currently, 25 people injured in the accident are receiving treatment at various hospitals.
Those with serious injuries have been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment. Currently, 14 injured individuals are being treated at the National Trauma Center in Kathmandu, 10 at the National Medical College in Kalanki, and one at the Teaching Hospital in Malekhu.
Among the 14 people being treated at the Trauma Center are Chinese national Missie Hou, Angi Sherpa, Bipin Manandhar, Puja Phuyal, Som Prasad Malla, and Pradip Lamichhane.
Additionally, Kathmandu Police informed that Sachindra Sunar, Norbu Palden, Swornima Khatri, Man Bahadur Thapa, Salina Pariyar, and Sukumaya Shrestha are also undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center.
The bus, numbered Ga 1 Kha 1421, which was traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu, plunged about 300 meters off the road into the Trishuli River at Bhaisigauda, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-5 on the Prithvi Highway at approximately 1:30 AM this morning.
