Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydro to Invest in Two Hydropower Projects Totaling 64 MW

Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited is set to invest in two hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 64 megawatts (MW). The company has decided to invest in the 43 MW Upper Neshyam Hydropower Project and the 21 MW Upper Neshyam 'A' Hydropower Project, both being developed by Sindhujwala Hydropower Limited.

The Board of Directors of Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydro decided to acquire a 51% equity stake in Sindhujwala Hydropower. The company informed that the decision was taken during its board meeting held on Shrawan 5.

Buddhabhumi is venturing into these new projects as part of its strategy to expand investments in the hydropower sector. Recently, there has been a growing trend among hydropower companies to make strategic investments in each other's projects to expand production capacity, grow their project portfolio, and ensure long-term revenue.
