BP Highway Reopens After Landslide Cleared
Ramechhap: The BP Highway, which was completely blocked for a while after heavy rains triggered mudslides at Pinthali and Narke in Roshi Rural Municipality–9, Kavre, has resumed two-way traffic.
Continuous rainfall last night caused mudslides from the upper section of the road at various places, blocking the highway. The landslide had completely halted vehicular movement along the road section for some time.
Police reported that two-way traffic has now resumed on the BP Highway following the removal of the debris. However, as it continues to rain, police warned that the risk of further landslides and mudslides in various places remains high.
Police have urged passengers and drivers traveling along the BP Highway to exercise caution, check road conditions before traveling, and remain alert to potential risks.
