Box Office Battle: 'Kumari' Leads 'Ramitako Pirati' in Opening Weeks

Kathmandu. The box office earnings of two Nepali films, 'Ramitako Pirati' and 'Kumari', which were released on February 6 (Magh 23), have been made public. 

According to the details released by the Film Development Board on Monday, both films appear weak at the box office. The Sudipta-directed 'Ramitako Pirati' has earned a gross of 1,943,588 rupees as of last Saturday (February 14). 

During this period, 5,937 tickets were sold for the film. Similarly, the Dinesh Raut-directed 'Kumari' has earned a gross of 5,600,211 rupees at the box office as of last Saturday (February 14). 

A total of 17,025 tickets were sold during this timeframe. Both films were released simultaneously, targeting the Valentine's season, and present different dimensions of love and emotion. 

'Ramitako Pirati' stars actress Anna Sharma in the lead role, alongside Dhiraj Magar, Samir Shrestha, Binay Shrestha, Jiyana, Gaumaya Gurung, Pashupati Rai, Renu Yogi, Thinley Lhamo, and others. 

Meanwhile, 'Kumari' features Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari in lead roles, with performances by Ghanashyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, and Aakansha Karki, among others.
