Bardibas,

Bardibas came alive on Saturday with colorful lights, vibrant performances, and waves of laughter as Sisnupani Nepal Mahottari organized the “Now Bardibas Laughs” Gai Jatra Special Comedy and Satire Festival at the Gautam Hotel hall.

The program opened with a warm welcome from Vice President Jeevanraj Dahal. Co-hosts Binod Dhungel and Ramkrishna Bhandari quickly lifted the mood, filling the hall with energy and joy. The event was chaired by Narad Prasad Kafle, with Province Assembly Member Hon. Sarda Devi Thapa as the chief guest, joined by Bardibas Mayor Prahlad Kumar Kshetri and other distinguished personalities.

Among the audience were notable figures such as Hira Gautam, President of the Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs Association of Madhesh Province, along with writers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and social workers. Representatives from Rotary Club, leaders of various organizations, and respected community members also took part, adding to the event’s prestige.

The stage came alive with diverse acts — Bel Bahadur Pariyar’s sharp satire, Kabita Dahal’s heartfelt poetry, Jeevanath Pokharel’s humorous song, and Ramesh Poudel’s enchanting magic. Bursts of laughter and applause repeatedly filled the hall, spilling out into the streets outside.

Chief guest Thapa highlighted the importance of keeping such cultural and satirical events alive in Bardibas, noting their role in inspiring social change.

Closing the evening, organizer chairperson Kafle thanked the guests, artists, supporters, and audience, leaving them with a resonant message: “Laughter and awareness will continue to travel together.”
