Jharana and Suhana Thapa to Share the Screen for the First Time in 'Ba: Ek Yoddha'

Kathmandu. Successful Nepali film actress and director Jharana Thapa and her daughter, actress Suhana Thapa, are set to appear in the same film for the first time. It has been confirmed that the famous mother-daughter duo will play lead roles in the film 'Ba: Ek Yoddha,' which marks the directorial debut of established composer Hari Lamsal.

The production team had kept the names of the actors secret while filming has been underway for the past two weeks. Currently, filming is taking place rapidly at various locations in Kathmandu, where Jharana and Suhana are giving takes together on set.

Filming began on March 23 following a script and camera worship ceremony at the Pashupatinath Temple premises in Kathmandu. Being produced under the banner of 'Artistic Entertainment,' this film attempts to cover a very poignant and realistic story of Nepali society.

Famous composer Hari Lamsal, who has contributed dozens of songs to music and playback singing, is making his debut as a director through this film. Lamsal has not only directed but also prepared the story and screenplay himself. There is great anticipation regarding the directorial ability and vision of Lamsal, who has already carved a unique identity for himself in the musical field.

As suggested by the title, this cinema will depict the importance and existence of a 'father' in a Nepali family. The film portrays a father as a 'warrior' through his tireless sacrifices, lifelong challenges, and the struggles he undergoes to brighten his children's future. The film aims to bring to the screen the story of the responsibilities and emotional relationships a father carries on his shoulders, ranging from rural settings to urban society.

According to the production team, this will be a pure social and emotional entertainment cinema. The producer of this film is Basanta Lamsal. Lamsal, who is also a singer and creator, previously produced the film 'Karma' starring actor Bipin Karki.

The cinematography will be handled by Shivaram Shrestha, with Tara Nath Neupane serving as the chief assistant director. The production side has stated that the release date will be announced only after the completion of all filming and an assessment of the technical work.
