Aryan Sigdel’s Niece Arhi Releases English Song “Toxic Truth”

Kathmandu –

Actor Aryan Sigdel’s niece, Arhi, has released her debut English song “Toxic Truth.” Residing in Australia, Arhi has officially entered the music industry through this song. Titled “Toxic Truth,” the track was co-written by Arhi and Maggie L. Barnes, with music composed by Fossil and NepSec. According to Arhi, the song incorporates influences from dark-pop, hip-hop, and Nepali/Asian music.

“‘Toxic Truth’ is a blend of various emotions. I wrote this song during a time when I was experiencing many different feelings all at once. Naturally, the song includes elements that represent those emotions. It tells the story of a toxic relationship where the emotions shown to someone are not always genuine because there may be a deeper, poisonous truth hidden underneath,” she said.

Arhi shared that she has been passionate about music since childhood and recalled her growing interest in singing. “When I used to hum songs as a child, I was encouraged to continue singing. In every stage of my life, a song has been there for me. This very connection to music inspired me to move forward in this profession,” she said.

Starting her musical journey with “Toxic Truth,” Arhi expressed that her love for music and art will never fade. “If given the opportunity, I will sing Nepali songs and participate in Nepali projects as well. Nepali music has played an important role in my life. My dream is to take Nepal to the international stage through music,” she added.

The music video features Arhi herself. Directed by Dipendra KC, the video uses extensive VFX. Once active in music video direction a decade ago, Dipendra has recently been focusing on documentary filmmaking. He said installation art was incorporated into the video.

“After hearing the song, I felt it could be presented through installation art. This is a three-dimensional art form that immerses the audience into the environment within the artwork, allowing them to experience it. Installation art encourages viewers not just to look but to enter and feel the art, conveying emotional, intellectual, or social messages. The VFX used in the video has been praised, and our team worked very hard to create it,” KC said.

The video’s creative direction was done by Dinesh Jung Rana, cinematography by Binod Shrestha, and post-production at Post Pro. The video has been released on Arhi’s official YouTube channel.
