Arun Valley Hydropower Proposed 5% Bonus Share

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited has proposed distributing 5% bonus shares and a 0.263% cash dividend (for tax purposes) to its shareholders.

A board of directors meeting held on Bhadra 28 proposed distributing this dividend from the profits and reserves of the fiscal year 2082/83. According to the company, bonus shares worth NPR 202,020,157.50—equivalent to 5% of its current paid-up capital of NPR 4,040,403,150—will be distributed.

Additionally, a cash dividend of NPR 10,632,320.89 (0.263% of the paid-up capital) has been proposed to cover the tax requirements for the bonus shares.

In total, the company will distribute dividends amounting to NPR 212,652,478.39 to its shareholders. The proposed dividend will be distributed only after approval by the company's 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which has been called for Ashoj 27.

The company has decided to close its books for one day on Ashoj 13 for the purpose of the AGM and dividend distribution. Accordingly, shareholders trading on NEPSE and registered up to Ashoj 12 will be eligible to receive the dividend and attend the general meeting.
