Artudio Patan Wing Opens with (Un)Seen

Artudio proudly announces the opening of its new Patan Wing in Nakabahil, Patan, inaugurated with (Un)Seen, a pop-up exhibition featuring artworks created by 21 young artists with autism.

Curated by Kailash K Shrestha (Artudio founder), the exhibition opens on November 21, 2025 symbolizing Artudio’s commitment to inclusivity and community-centered creative practice.

(Un)Seen emerges from a series of workshops conducted at Artudio and Autism Care Nepal Society, in collaboration with Aakar Foundation.

The works presented are shaped by trust, exploration, patience, and intuitive experimentation.

Each artwork offers insight into the personal sensory worlds of the participating artists revealing unique perceptions through gestures, marks, colors, abstractions, rhythms, and visual patterns.

The title (Un)Seen speaks to the creative intelligence and emotional clarity that often remain overlooked within conventional frameworks of art and society.

The exhibition invites audiences to slow down, observe with sensitivity, and connect with forms of expression that transcend linguistic or academic expectations.

“(Un)Seen is not an exhibition about autism, it is an exhibition with artists who express and interpret the world in their own singular ways,” says curator Kailash K Shrestha. “Their practices illuminate the essence of art as a field of presence and possibility, unbound by external rules.”

The previous edition of (Un)Seen marked a milestone for the participating artists: 9 artworks were sold, generating the first-ever income earned by these artists with autism.

(Un)Seen builds upon this meaningful progress, providing artists with visibility, recognition, and opportunities for creative growth.

Launching Artudio’s Patan Wing with (Un)Seen underscores the organization’s ongoing dedication to radical openness, inclusive collaboration, and community empowerment.

It marks the beginning of the new space with perspectives that are often unheard expanding conversations around contemporary art and neurodiverse creativity in Nepal.
