After Hotel Everest Dispute, Gyanendra Shahi Issues Public Challenge to Journalist

Kathmandu – Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Gyanendra Shahi has expressed strong anger toward a journalist through a Facebook post, making serious accusations.
He alleged that the journalist had once forced actress Shirsha Karki to commit suicide by taking and publishing her nude photos from a bathroom for money.
In his post, Shahi wrote, “To earn money, a murderer who entered the bathroom and took nude photos of actress Shirsha Karki, later publishing them and forcing her to commit suicide, now calls himself a journalist and runs an online portal.”
Shahi claimed that the same journalist recently tried to assassinate his character by twisting a normal discussion between him and Breakline Media reporters at Hotel Everest.
Issuing a public challenge, Shahi stated, “If you have evidence, present it. Show proof that I threatened hotel staff or that they kicked me out. I’m ready to come wherever you call me — it’s an open challenge.”
He further added, “They say journalism is the fourth pillar of the nation, but those who exploit it for personal gain by destroying others’ character are criminals of society.”
Shahi’s post has drawn widespread reactions on social media. While some users have supported his statement, others have called it exaggerated and suggested he raise such issues calmly and responsibly.
