500 Deep Boring Projects Begin in Terai; Farmers to Pay Only Rs. 3 per Unit for Irrigation Electricity

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that work has begun to drill 500 deep borings in the Terai region. Through a post on Facebook, he shared that farmers will now pay only Rs. 3 per unit for electricity used for irrigation.
The government aims to provide easier irrigation access to farmers through this initiative. Groundwater will be extracted via deep boring to support agricultural needs.
