Trailer of Nepali Film ‘Maijharo’ Released; Promises a Tale of Love and Struggle
Kathmandu: The trailer of the film ‘Maijharo’, written and directed by Wilson Bikram Rai (Takmebudha), has been released. The production team released the trailer on Tuesday.
The 3-minute 49-second trailer showcases the struggles faced for love and the subsequent challenges that arise. The trailer features the film’s main cast, including Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Diya Pun, and Dayahang Rai, with the director Wilson Rai himself also appearing on screen.
Before the trailer release, the production team had already released two songs from the film. One was a love song, while the other was a traditional, highly danceable Sakela song from the eastern region. These releases have created significant hype.
Based on a story by director Rai, the film was shot around Ilam and Panchthar in eastern Nepal. Produced under the banner of Takme Production, the film features performances by Dhiraj, Miruna, Diya Pun, Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Pushkar Gurung, Abhayaraj Baral, Mautse Gurung, Kabita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Prem Subba, Uday Subba, Anil Subba, Bhupendra Lingden, and Bishal Limbu, among others.
The music for the film’s songs has been composed by Anmol Gurung and Torempahang Rai, with vocals by Rajesh Payal Rai, Jhuma Limbu, Melina Rai, Asmita Adhikari, and others.
The cinematography is handled by Saurabh Lama, while distribution is managed by RR Films. The digital rights have been acquired by OSR.
The film is scheduled to be released nationwide across Nepal on Tihar’s Bhai Tika, i.e., Kartik 7.
