Swasthani Brata and Salinadi Fair Conclude
The month-long Swasthani Brata, which began on the full moon day of Paush Shukla, concluded on Sunday with special worship on the day of Magh Shukla Purnima.
On this final day, devotees perform a ritual closing ceremony by offering 108 sacred threads, 108 betel nuts, 108 betel leaves, 108 flowers, 108 pieces of bread, and 108 portions of unbroken rice, among other puja materials, praying to Goddess Swasthani for the fulfillment of their wishes.
Additionally, the special month-long Salinadi fair, which also started on the full moon day of Paush Shukla, ended this Sunday as well.
