Traditional Rules and Rituals to Follow When Worshipping Surya Dev

The worship of Surya Dev should be done according to the procedure. Accordingly, on Sunday, one must wake up early in the morning, bathe, and visit a temple to have Darshan of the God.
After that, if water is offered to Surya Dev, the Dosha (negative effect) in the Kundali (birth chart) is destroyed.
In the worship, one should offer items that are dear to Surya Dev: red flowers, red sandalwood, hibiscus flowers, and rice. Also, jaggery (Gud) or sweets made from jaggery should be offered.
