Singer Sarita Bharti’s Radha Avatar, Busy with Teej and New Folk Songs
Kathmandu, august 15 — Popular contemporary singer Sarita Bharti celebrated this year’s Krishna Janmashtami in a special way. She posed in the avatar of Radha, Lord Krishna’s beloved, for a photoshoot at the Bagbhairab Temple premises in Kirtipur. The photos were clicked by photojournalist Badri Thapa, while senior makeup artist Bina Ranamagar from Cheli Makeup Studio styled her.
Previously, Sarita had portrayed Lord Shiva in photos for Maha Shivaratri. This time, she presented herself as Radha, extending greetings to everyone on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.
Just last week, Sarita released a new Teej song “Nachna De” on her YouTube channel SB Creation Nepal, composed by Om Sunar, which is currently gaining popularity. Having already released around two dozen songs, she plans to release a new folk song about rain on 11 Bhadra, with lyrics by senior songwriter Dabbu Kshetri and music by Om Sunar. The male version of this folk song will be sung by choreographer and singer Krishna Rasal.
On the occasion of Teej, Sarita will perform at the Teej Queen special program on 1 Bhadra. In addition, she has about half a dozen other musical programs lined up for this Teej festival. She is also preparing to record two more new songs.
