Prithvi Narayan Shah's Statue in Front of the Singha Durbar West Gate (In Pictures)

A statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah stands in front of the west gate of Singha Durbar to remember his work in bringing modern Nepal together. 

Today, on Prithvi Jayanti, people show their respect by placing flower garlands on the statue. 

To honor the leader who united the divided parts of Nepal, the Nepali Army also offers garlands every year at his full-sized statue located at their headquarters in Bhadrakali.
