Nepal vs UAE T20I Series Opening Match

Kathmandu: The Nepali national cricket team is playing against the UAE today in the first match of a T20I series. The match will begin at 5:00 PM at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The Nepali team is playing a two-match T20I series against the UAE on its home ground.

For this series, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is fielding a team under the captaincy of Dipendra Singh Airee. The squad includes Dipendra Singh Airee (captain), Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Sundeep Jora, Aarif Sheikh, Basir Ahmad, Gulshan Jha, Lokesh Bam, Sandeep Lamichhane, Nandan Yadav, Santosh Yadav, Arjun Saud, Hemant Dhami, Sahab Alam, and Sher Malla. Additionally, Pratish GC, Narayan Joshi, and Rashid Khan are kept as alternative players.

The second match of the series will take place tomorrow. Nepal is practicing the use of separate captains for T20 and ODI cricket for the first time. For the first time, players including Rohit Paudel, Sompal Kami, and Karan KC are outside of the T20 team. This series is also being held under floodlights for the first time in history.
