Nepal U-20 Women’s Team Ready for AFC Qualifiers, Farewelled by ANFA
Kathmandu — The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bid farewell to the Nepal national U-20 women’s football team on Tuesday as they prepare to participate in the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, scheduled to be held in Bhutan from August 6 to 10.
The farewell event took place at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. The chief guest of the program was Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tankalal Ghising. Also present were ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, General Secretary Kiran Rai, and central members Bharat Budha Thapa and Anil Mall, among others.
Speaking at the event, Member Secretary Ghising, President Nembang, and General Secretary Rai extended their best wishes to the team, encouraging the players to perform with confidence and determination.
Nepal is placed in Group 'A' of the qualifiers, alongside hosts Bhutan, Saudi Arabia, and North Korea.
