Nepal Premier League (NPL) Second Edition Set to Begin on Monday
Kathmandu. The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament is scheduled to commence on Monday, November 17, 2025.
The league will officially kick off with the inaugural match held at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
The opening match, starting at 4 PM on Monday afternoon, will feature a face-off between the Janakpur Bolts and the Kathmandu Gorakhaz.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the NPL second season will run from November 17 to December 13, 2025.
The tournament structure includes 32 matches in total, comprising the league phase, three playoff games, and the grand final. All matches for this season will exclusively take place at the TU Ground in Kirtipur.
CAN has announced that 23 of the league matches will be played as Day-Night fixtures, while the remaining nine will be afternoon games.
A total of eight franchise teams will compete for the title in this edition of the NPL.
These participating teams are the Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers, Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Kathmandu Gorakhaz, and Lumbini Lions.
