Nepal to Host Its First Open National Inline Skate Mini Marathon
For the first Time in Nepal, the country is set to host an Open National Inline Skate Mini Marathon competition.
The event is being jointly organized by the Nepal Skating and Skate Boarding Association and The Skateland Skate Park, and is scheduled to take place this Saturday, December 6 (Mangsir 20). The organizers anticipate the participation of hundreds of skaters from within Nepal and abroad.
According to Abraham Rai, operator of The Skateland, this groundbreaking event will cover a distance of approximately 5 kilometers.
The route will start from Sundarijal, Alapot Chowk in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Kathmandu, and conclude at The Skateland Park located in Talinchowk, Gokarneshwor Municipality.
The competition is scheduled to commence at 8:00 AM on Saturday, with the President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jiban Ram Shrestha, as the chief guest, the organizers stated.
The organizers also noted the high anticipated participation of hundreds of skaters/players from both inside and outside Nepal.
