13th National Dress and Topi Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm (Photos)

On Thursday, various youth organizations celebrated the 13th National Dress and Topi Day by organizing several programs. Youths have been observing this day for the past 13 years under the slogan "Nepali Topi: Our Identity." A special event was held at Basantpur, Kathmandu, to mark the occasion.

The celebration of National Dress and Topi Day began in B.S. 2070 with the aim of promoting and establishing the Daura-Suruwal, Topi, and Gunyo-Cholo as symbols of Nepali identity among the younger generation.

During the program, participants dressed in traditional attire—including the Nepali Daura-Suruwal, Dhaka Topi, and Gunyo-Cholo—exchanged greetings and celebrated through music and dance.
