Mumbai Indians Defeat Punjab Kings by 6 Wickets
Kathmandu. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians have defeated Punjab Kings by 6 wickets. In the match held at Dharamshala, Punjab Kings batted first and scored 200 runs, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh provided a good start for the team.
Prabhasimran played a crucial innings of 57 runs. However, Shradhul Thakur took 4 wickets with a lethal bowling performance for Mumbai. Towards the end, aggressive batting from Azmatullah Omarzai and other batsmen pushed the team's total to 200 runs.
Chasing a target of 201 runs, Mumbai Indians scored 205 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.5 overs to win the game.
For Mumbai, Ryan Rickelton scored 48 runs, while Tilak Varma played an outstanding unbeaten innings of 75 runs to guide the team to victory. In this match, in the absence of the regular captain, Jasprit Bumrah captained Mumbai for the first time and decided to bowl first after winning the toss.
