'Koshedunga' Filming Completed

Kathmandu – Filmmaker Saroj Paudel has completed the shooting of his new movie Koshdunga. Paudel, known for his all-time blockbuster film Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, wrapped up filming on Monday after 51 days.
The shoot was completed over 51 days with song sequences filmed in Chitlang and Markhu of Makwanpur district. Earlier, filming had begun on a set in Chyasal, Lalitpur, and also took place in Aandhikhola, Triveni, and Sirubari in Syangja district, Gandaki Province.
The production team has already announced the release date. Koshdunga will be released on Bhadra 12 (August 28) and is set to premiere simultaneously in over 40 countries, including Nepal.
The film will be distributed internationally by Patrick Subedi and Ramesh Dhakal’s Seven Seas International. This marks the first time in Nepali cinema history that a movie will be released in so many countries simultaneously.
Given this unprecedented global release, the team expects Koshdunga to elevate Nepali cinema to a new international height.
As Koshdunga is directed by the same filmmaker behind Purna Bahadurko Sarangi — which grossed over NPR 475 million in Nepal alone — it has become a much-anticipated film. There is significant curiosity about how this new project will turn out.
Since its announcement, Koshdunga has generated both excitement and expectations among audiences. During filming, the production team released a first-look poster featuring lead actress Surakshya Panta.
“We’ve completed filming as expected, and in fact, things are turning out even better than we imagined,” said the director. “Editing is happening on set in real-time, and from what we’ve seen so far, we’re confident this film will offer something truly special. The dedication of the entire cast and crew is evident.”
Executive producer Dinesh Khadka said Koshdunga will meet the expectations of audiences. He stated that, like Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, this film too will be loved by viewers.
He expressed full confidence that the story and the effort put into filming will not disappoint the audience.
Presented by Nardevi Films, Koshdunga features performances by Surakshya Panta, Aryan Sigdel, Richa Sharma, Manzil Kumar, Niti Shah, Praveen Khatiwada, Hiuwala Gautam, Saroj Khanal, Bishal Pahadi, Dinesh Kafle, and Lokmani Sapkota, among others.
The film is produced by Previl Kandel and Kishor Anurag, with Dinesh Khadka as the executive producer. The cinematography is by Babu Shrestha, editing by Nahkul Khadka, and music by Ashish Aviral and Rhythm Kandel. The casting director is Suvalmani Sapkota.
