Kirtipur Stadium Construction Progresses Rapidly: Race to Complete Venue Before NPL

Kathmandu: Construction work at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur is currently in full swing. 

The work is being carried out with the goal of completing the stadium before the Nepal Premier League (NPL) begins this coming Mangsir (November/December).

Significant progress has been made, with the physical progress of the grandstand (parapet) construction reaching 95 percent. Furthermore, all six poles for the floodlights have been erected. 

The stadium is in the process of installing six high-mast lights, each weighing 30 tons, with two standing 45 meters and four standing 60 meters tall.

The accelerated construction ensures the venue will soon be equipped to host day-night matches, a major boost for Nepali cricket.
