Western Winds and Low-Pressure System Affecting Weather Across Nepal: Light Rain and Snowfall, Kathmandu Cloudy

Kathmandu. Nepal's weather is currently under the direct influence of westerly winds combined with a low-pressure system that has formed over the Arabian Sea. This has resulted in a change in weather patterns, bringing light rain and snowfall to various parts of the country.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the effects of this weather system are causing snowfall in the high hilly and Himalayan regions, while some locations in the hills and the Terai plains are experiencing light to moderate rain.

The weather in the capital, Kathmandu Valley, has also been cloudy since the morning. The Valley has recorded light rainfall, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature and increased chill in daily life.

Meteorologists have advised people to take necessary precautions as the influence of this weather system is expected to continue for a few more days. With the temperature dropping across the country, people are advised to adopt appropriate measures to protect themselves from the cold.
