Two Karry EV Vans Unveiled at NAIMA Mobility Expo: Here's the Price and Features

Kathmandu – LXG Motors Pvt. Ltd., under the umbrella of Laxmi Group, has officially introduced the renowned Chinese commercial electric vehicle brand Karry to the Nepali market. The launch took place at the NAIMA Mobility Expo, which commenced today at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Two electric van variants – Kevan 1 and Kevan 2 – were unveiled during the event. The company believes these vans will be highly suitable for both commercial and educational use. The prices are set at NPR 5,856,000 for Kevan 1 and NPR 6,306,000 for Kevan 2.

Specially designed for Nepal, these vans come with 15- and 16-seat configurations. For commercial applications, a modern grey-colored commercial variant is available, while for school and college transportation, a yellow-colored school variant is offered. The school variant includes high-standard safety features specifically tailored to ensure the safety of children.

Key Features and Technical Specifications:
These electric vans are equipped with a 53 kWh LFP CATL battery, offering a driving range of over 300 kilometers on a single full charge. Both models are powered by Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), delivering a rated/peak torque of 130/270 Nm and a rated/peak power of 50/80 kW.

To suit Nepali road conditions, the vans feature a high ground clearance of 180 mm. Equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes, these vans also include advanced safety features such as ABS, EBD, and fire extinguishers.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Sanjay Khadka, Head of Sales and After Sales Support at LXG Motors, emphasized the group’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

He stated, “The launch of Karry EV marks a significant step towards our vision of a greener Nepal. These vehicles offer a reliable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional fuel-based vans. Whether for commercial transport or safe school commuting, we are confident in their superior performance.”
