Karnali Highway Reopens After Snowfall (Photos)

Mugu: Heavy snowfall on the night of Magh 10 caused the Karnali Highway section from Bhulbhule to Ghuchhilekh, Saat Mod, and up to Jhadnaula in Jumla district to be obstructed.

With snow piling up, the road was completely closed, bringing vehicular movement to a halt. Following efforts by the Road Division Office, Jumla, snow accumulated on the road was cleared using JCB machines on Magh 11 and 12, after which the affected section of the Karnali Highway was fully reopened.

With the road now operational, travel between Jumla and Mugu has become easier. Passengers and local residents have expressed relief, and vehicles that had been stranded due to the snowfall have resumed their journeys toward their destinations.
