India Secures Third Consecutive T20 Victory Against New Zealand
Kathmandu. India has achieved its third consecutive victory in the T20 series against New Zealand. In the match held last night, India defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets. Chasing the target of 154 runs set by New Zealand, India reached the goal in just 10 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi and Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets each. India gained control of the match early on after Harshit Rana took a wicket. Glenn Phillips scored the highest for New Zealand with 48 runs.
During the chase, India made an aggressive start. Although Sanju Samson was out on the first ball, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma maintained control of the game by hitting continuous fours and sixes, forming a 53-run partnership in just 19 balls.
Abhishek Sharma completed a half-century in only 14 balls, recording the second-fastest T20 half-century for India while playing attractive shots all around the ground. After Kishan was dismissed for 28 runs off 13 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes, Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease and finished the game easily alongside Abhishek. Suryakumar remained unbeaten with 57 runs off 26 balls, while Abhishek stayed not out at 68 runs.
Abhishek hit 7 fours and 5 sixes in 20 balls, and Suryakumar hit 6 fours and 3 sixes. India secured the win by scoring 155 runs in 10 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.
