'Harsha' Movie Premier Show Report
The grand premier show of the cinema 'Harsha', which is scheduled to be released this Friday (Mangsir 12), was organized on Wednesday at Labim Mall in Lalitpur.
The premier show saw a thick presence of producers, directors, writers, artists, and media personnel, including the late Shiva Regmi's wife, Gyanu Regmi.
Actress Nirutaa Singh, who resides in Mumbai, India, attended a Nepali cinema premier show after a long time. She stated that the debut directorial film of Ekata Paudel, 'Harsha', is very well made.
She mentioned that she became emotional right at the beginning of the movie after seeing the picture of the late director Shiva Regmi.
"'Harsha' is a very message-oriented cinema. I have witnessed such incidents happening in our families and society. Therefore, everyone should watch this movie at least once," she said.
Gyanu Regmi, the wife of the late director Shiva Regmi, also wished success to her niece Ekata, saying that 'Harsha' is a good film. "They say even a river returns after 12 years; the same has happened in our family. After 12 years, my niece Ekata Paudel has dared to produce and direct a film. I am very happy."
"My husband, director Shiva Regmi, used to say, 'Never be angry when people come to work in Nepali cinema. The Nepali cinema industry is my home. The artists working there are my children.
So, always love them,' I still remember that. Today (Thursday) is also the death anniversary of the late director Shiva Regmi," she added.
Businessman and actor Sanjog Koirala also urged everyone to watch 'Harsha', calling it a family-oriented film that offers a different experience.
Actress Barsha Raut expressed her delight at receiving positive feedback about the film at the premier show.
Khagendra Lamichhane, the main actor in the movie, also looked happy with the reaction received at the premier show.
"Since this was the first time I did a different kind of cinema, I was wondering how it would turn out. Everyone liked it, and I am happy. I am confident that the audience will also like it," he said.
Debut director Ekata Paudel expressed her immense joy as her childhood dream of producing and directing a film was realized. "Guests who watched the film at the premier show today said I was successful in bringing back the memory of my uncle (Mama).
This has also created a challenge for me to make even better films in the coming days. I hope the audience, like the filmmakers and journalists, will also like 'Harsha'. Let's see what happens," director Paudel said.
The film stars Khagendra and Barsha, along with Nir Shah, Santosh Panta, Sharmila Malla, Maotse Gurung, Bishal Pahari, Nima Pandey, Luniva Tuladhar, Anshu Maharjan, Renu Pradhan, Subarna Thapa, Shristi Maharjan, Sirjana Napit, and child artist Saimon Waadi.
The cinema features cinematography by Alok Shukla, music by Samir and Himal, Basanta Sapkota, and Alish Karka, editing by Lokesh Bajracharya, and choreography by Sunil Chhetri and director Paudel.
Produced under the banners of Asthalaxmi Productions and E-Prime Movies, the story of the cinema is by the director Paudel herself.
Prashanna Paudel and Bikash Paudel are the producers, and Hikmat Chokhal is the executive producer.
Ishwor Ghimire is the production manager, and Kuldeep Sharma is the chief assistant director.
