National Cricketer Gulshan Jha Honored with Sanskriti Sports Award
Kathmandu: National cricket's young player, Gulshan Jha, was honored with the Sanskriti Sports Award at a special ceremony held during Sanskriti International School's annual Sports Day.
In recognition of his significant contribution to the sports sector, Jha was presented with a certificate of honor and a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh 1 thousand (NPR 1,01,000).
Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta, who attended the event as the chief guest, presented the certificate and cash prize and praised Gulshan Jha's contribution to the field of sports.
He expressed confidence that such honors will further inspire the youth generation to become disciplined, capable, and self-reliant through sports.
Prajjwal Wali, Chief Vice-President of the Sports Journalists Forum, was also present as a special guest at the program.
Wali commended Sanskriti School's continued tradition of encouraging sporting talent and openly praised its role.
The organizers informed that the Sports Journalists Forum and Sanskriti School jointly select the recipient every year.
Sanskriti School has previously honored outstanding players and personalities from various fields.
Earlier, the Sanskriti Sports Award was presented to runner Santoshi Shrestha in the first edition, cricketer Kushal Malla in the second edition, and Palesha Goverdhan in the third edition.
Furthermore, on this occasion, Ranjit Acharya, Chairman of Sanskriti School, expressed his commitment to continually encouraging talents who elevate the nation's identity globally through the field of sports.
