Frequent Government Changes Should Be Avoided, Stability Is Needed: Kalibaba
Kathmandu, July 30 – Religious activist and international saint Shri Shri 1008 Swami Mahamandaleshwar Krishnananda Paramhansa Kalidas Baba has stated that efforts should be made for Nepal's prosperity, economic and social transformation, and for the welfare of all citizens.
Inaugurating the Dashamahavidya Rudra Hawan Mahayagya, which began on Wednesday at Hansamandap in Vanakali, Devpatan, Pashupati, Kalibaba expressed his wishes for peace, prosperity, national unity, and integrity.
He stated, “Young men and women going abroad for labor and employment should be able to earn a livelihood here in Nepal itself. May there be a peaceful government. The government should not change frequently.”
Kalibaba emphasized that citizens should genuinely feel the presence of the state and called upon all to unite for national development. He said, “Let us move forward together on the path of peace and prosperity. Let there be good governance and progress for all citizens. It doesn’t take long to develop our beautiful country.”
Kalibaba explained that worshipping and praying to the Goddess in accordance with rituals can lead to peace, prosperity, and abundance, as the Dashamahavidya represents a powerful form of the divine feminine. He stated that performing rituals with proper methods is believed to bring blessings and wealth.
He further mentioned that the Dashamahavidya Rudra Hawan Mahayagya was organized with the aim of inspiring peace, prosperity, unity, and protection of the nation from hunger, pandemics, and suffering.
Kalibaba said, “If every citizen of Nepal can peacefully live even by drinking a sip of water and eating a bite of roasted flour, they would be happy. That is why I come to Pashupatinath every year to offer water and perform Rudrabhishek after visiting the Jyotirlingas. This year, the Dashamahavidya Rudra Hawan Mahayagya has been organized. My wish is for peace and prosperity for Nepal and the Nepali people.”
Meanwhile, the Mahayagya, organized by Kalika Sadhana Ashram and Shivashakti Baba Kalidas Dham in collaboration with Manavsewa Foundation, began with a grand Kalash Yatra on Wednesday. The Yatra started from Maitidevi, circled through the city, and concluded at Hansamandap in Vanakali where the Mahayagya officially commenced.
The Kalash Yatra saw notable participation from the Foundation’s Chairman Vijay Krishnamurti, religious activists, and the general public.
Earlier, in January 2025 (Magh 2081), the “Dashamahavidya Vishnu Sahasra Koti Hawan Mahayagya” was organized in India under the leadership of Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa, Member Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, with the goal of promoting religious tourism. During that event, it was announced that a similar Mahayagya would also be held in Kathmandu – now fulfilled through this event.
