Food Expert Vinod Baral’s Book ‘Momo Ka Paila Haru’ Launched in London

London, UK — Renowned Nepali chef and food expert Vinod Baral, who has made the UK his professional base, officially launched his book ‘Momo Ka Paila Haru’ (Steps of Momo) in a grand ceremony held in London.

The book was unveiled during the prestigious National Geographic Traveller Food Festival at the Business Design Centre in London.

The launch was jointly conducted by writer Yubaraj Nayaghare, social activist Navin Gurung, entrepreneur Janak Rai, and beverage expert Tara Waibhan.

Speaking at the event, writer Nayaghare remarked, “With every dish, a piece of our country, culture, and originality travels with it. Through this book, Nepal’s identity and pride have also been carried forward.” He further emphasized that such publications play a vital role in preserving the history and flavors of traditional ethnic Nepali cuisines.

Author Baral expressed his commitment to promoting Nepali dishes on the global stage, stating that he would continue his efforts tirelessly.

Activist Gurung, and entrepreneurs Rai and Waibhan, also extended their best wishes for the success of the book.

The event was organized by the Momo Foundation and co-organized by Saraswati Kendra Nepal.

Born in Pokhara, Baral has been residing in London for many years. Despite living abroad, he remains actively involved in community service and supporting the Nepali diaspora.

He is the co-founder of popular restaurants such as Jumbara and Momo & Roti, and the founder of the Vinod Baral School of Hospitality. Notably, in 2022, he prepared meals for players during the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar. His contributions have earned him the title of Global Goodwill Ambassador.momo-ka-pailaharu-1753431065.jpg
